  3. Your videos just keep buffering and I can’t watch them. Same thing happened with Simon’s draft video the other day. ;_;

  4. Sometimes it takes a few times to properly upload the viruses embedded in the videos so we can hack all your Angry Birds scores.

  5. I’m not experiencing the problem, but know that the MTGO Academy administration is working on a long-term solution to rectify these sorts of problems.

  6. The first game is a bit painful to watch. Kezzy takes your comment on the badly played (agreed) counterspell on wall of roots way too seriously and then goes on to berate you the whole game. Then, going on to simply make a bad argument about an archetype’s play-style (though he uses more inflammatory wording), he shows himself to be the immature player he tries to belittle you to be. Still, I was entertained watching someone going aggro so badly (and laughing with you in the process).

    The thing about this archetype is that there are a ton of options. The synergy of the deck isn’t broken however (there are a lot of ways to disrupt slower rock like builds like this one, it’s just that people don’t want to build their decks properly to take into account the graveyard). It also doesn’t take too much to just play “draw-go” and hope other people take care of things like artifacts, enchantments, and the graveyard while you simply play random giant guys. This is why I agree that flexible spot removal (for creatures, art/enchants) creates some brutal plays, rather than everyone simply sweeping the board each turn.

    I think the build needs some work though- it seemed like you spent a lot of life unnecessarily (I believe one of your own tech cards, diamond valley, would have helped quite a bit), and some of your plays were a bit loose (casting mana crypt instead of holding in hand- making you a target/potential life loss as an example). But all and all it’s hard to make 100% right decisions with so many options and over the course of an hour of gameplay. Kudos and keep em coming!

    Perhaps we should have some MTGOAcademy EDH tournaments :)

    we are in fact working on a few improvements of the video player. Don’t forget that you have the option to download the videos and watch them in any video player of your choice. We shall see what we can do to improve technical issues. It is always helpful if such errors/issues are reported over our contact page with a few details about your system and settings (computer, operating system, etc.).

  8. The reason the Gilded Drake token didn’t die in game one is that Kiki-Jiki’s ability makes Kiki-Jiki’s controller sacrifice the token at end of turn, which he couldn’t do because he didn’t control the token anymore

    No seriously, thanks for the words. This is one of my fav decks. And I most def played a little loose – some of which was just plain laziness and oops factor. Filming def puts the pressure on, as I try and wow everyone with banter, which often takes precedence over quality of play. But I try.

  12. Hmm. Kinda slow, and with the tutors and throughput, getting there doesn’t require a meh card in the mix, in my opinion. Cool card, sure, maybe better in the Jor Kadeen deck. But I apprec the words!

  13. Interesting deck. How come you didn’t play Ghave as your general. He seems way better w/ persist.

  14. Bc Teneb is a better threat, has a better ability, and the persist is just in there, not the entire point of the deck. Teneb > Ghave.

    But here is the but: Teneb is one of the strongest generals out there.
    Making a Teneb deck work takes no genius.
    But you Travis are one when it comes ot Magic the Gathering.

  17. I’m sensing some irony here, Steve. Anyone else? Maybe get directions to said road once you demount the virtual soapbox?

    And is calling someone out who is holding a game hostage, casted accusations, belittled and berated me for simply playing “badmouthing?” I am an adjudicator of this nonsense, and as a persone who trudges through hours of footage to have it ruined, I feel entitled. Give it a try, then wane Magic morality some more, pal-face.

    And, eXXa, as always, my fuzzy little man peach. I agree that some generals come with a lot of prebuild sort of notions. Do I think ALL Teneb decks are as such: narrow, obvious, and largely powerful? No. There are a lot of directions to take this bad boy, and, from hours and hours and hours of ONLINE play, I have seen none go this route, per se. I thought it was a nice brew, with so much cross pollination it was garozzzzzzz!
