  1. So, what is the deal with the “cube points” – have these always been around or have they recently popped up on the site? I didn’t notice them until last week.

  2. Hello Ronin,

    good catch. We are currently experimenting with various ideas to encourage contributions. Even though the “Cube Points” are still in testing and need some work we let them run to check for bugs and ways to improve them. Cubepoints are basically allocated automatically to your account as you post comments, articles, etc.
    We are planning on making those redeemable in the online store but the current points are just testing ground. As soon as we are out of “Alpha” I will let everyone know how we plan to utilize them.

  3. Ah interesting – having a vibrant and constructive community certainly greatly increases the long term appeal of a site. That was my favorite part of brainburst back in the day before the avalanche of ads made the whole place practically impossible to navigate. Kudos for trying to kickstart that here.
