Conley was not playing the GW deck….monoblack zombies.
Nor was Paul Rietzal, who was on Boros. I didn’t think it made for easier reading to say “The ChannelFireball deck, except for Conley who played Zombies and Paul Rietzal who played R/W Aggro, and of course Tom Martell who was on SCG Black this time and played Geists…” and so on.
Well, Paul Rietzl was on SCG Black (kinda) and played boros because of Black and Finkel, but yeah, w/e.
The G/W deck from cfb looked really bad in the pro tour metagame anyway.
My favourite deck (and the one with best constructed result) was Shouta Yasooka’s deck. It looks really solid with a lot of upside from Naya with a better lategame.
Didn’t Kibler play some Jund variant?
It was nice to see something completely different and unexpected win the PT. I was rooting for the U/W miracles deck to go all the way! The U/G tempo was also a nice surprise. I was disappointed that the ChannelFireball team punted with their deck choice. I’d be interested to read how after a week or more of testing, that was the best deck they could come up with?
