  1. I got lucky on my first booster and ended up with a Koth. So being on a budget I added two Chandra Nalaar, and some Chandra’s Spitfire. I have the Chalice, and have also been playing with using proliferate on the planeswalkers using Inexorable Tide and Contagion Clasp. Getting the Tide up early can pump up a Koth or Chandra to critical mass fairly quickly.

  3. The only problem with this is that the Koth’s +1 ability still creates mountains with summoning sickness, so you can’t attack with them, and you can’t tap them for mana while they are a creature.
