I think if you’re running black 2-3 Dark Banishs should be in Sideboard. I believe anyone who runs Circle of Protections (enter bad comment here), I am totally against COPs they are just annoying and cheap.
eh i wouldnt overly worry about Cop’s i mean ya they migth get splashed but i really do think that if u add white to the deck you’ll be in the weakest color in the block
I think black is the strongest, great removal, and evasive creatures. plus if you keep buybacking brush with death that can get nasty
Just a few random comments I wrote along while the vid was going:
Note about “Cunning”, the card from Exodus: Cunning destroys Cunning at the end of turn, not the creature. So it’s not removal in any way.
You don’t like Sandstone Warrior? I’d imagine if you like the black shade, you’d love Sandstone Warrior too. But maybe you think Red should be too fast to really utilise him?
Also you should have milked the ‘It’s efFISHent’ comment you made about School of Piranhas. Intentional or not, it was a hilarious pun
I’m glad you caught the “however, though”‘s, I already noticed in last vid that the one time you said it there you immediately stopped for a second or two. I could just feel you thinking ‘damnit ><'.
I hope you're not too self-concious about it. I'd rather have you say it every other sentence and do vids than stop vids so keep that in mind please
Around 29:25 there's some voice overlap, like two recordings going at once. It only lasts about 10 seconds. But after that it happens one or two more times, and the last 5 minutes the audio and video didn't sync up for me (seemed to be about ~15 seconds apart). If that's a problem only I have I'll try it again at a later time (I was really enjoying the vid), but otherwise it would be great if you could fix that.
That all said, great vid. I really enjoyed the walkthrough although I wouldn't mind it being sped up just a little. You don't really have to read the cards, just mention them, enlarge and then either explain a little something about them or call it a two-for-one and move on. The audience is smart enough to pick up how you mean it, probably already know most of the interesting cards and otherwise there's the comments =)
Here's to a vid every week!
Hiyas Zage thanks for the comments!
The cunning mistake i believe is just another case of me letting my mins pre-read cards again hehe.
Sandstone warrior is a great card but any time you’re lowering your toughness in this format you’re asking for the critter to be promptly removed.
Glad you liked the pun But i’ll admit i’m not one to try to overkill a good line unless im in a really odd mood.
Yeah on that you’d be amazed how many times i’ve scrapped a whole run of video and redo the entire thing cuz of it lol. I figure if i dont punish myself i wont learn
Sorry about the technical issues i believe that they could have been on my side and i apoligze for that it seems that video wise this has been a week from the swamp things lair
And ya i know the audience is smart, but some people like to listen to vid in the background or cannot read the cards on the screen so i try t help them out. But you’re right if i didnt read them as much it’d probally be several minuets shorter
I’m glad you weren’t annoyed by my huge comment, I realised later it may seemed a bit nit-picky or overanalysing it a bit much. It wasn’t meant as such and I’m happy to see you didn’t read it like that
Anyway you’re right about the listen/look thing. Next time I think I’ll just listen to it more than look at it as well. Decks are nice to see on the vid, because you get an overview while hearing specific things, but this stuff you don’t really need to full-screen I suppose. I’ll just do that next time!
