Your mistake in M2G1 in my opinion, was not necessarily trading damage. But rather the fact that you used the strangler to kill the murk strider instead of the coralhelm guide. At that point in the game, with the creatures you had, the difference between him having a 3/2 and a 2/1 weren’t that big.
