1. I’d love to play this. It would be a great event to test decks before investing more money, and play great cards we all love in a no-so-casual no-so-competitive enviroment.
    I’m spaniard so starting later than 2100 GMT would be a problem.
    Legacy is coming soon, and the only card named youd have to cut is skullclamp, just saying.
    Hymn to tourach is not cheap anymore.

  2. Right now I know Wednesday’s are fairly PRE free. Could be a fun event, and eventually you could use academybot as your price guide.

  3. I think it’s a great idea, and second the suggestion of Wednesday nights. They are usually dead due to the downtime.

    This is just what I’m looking for, a budget way to get into the format, but have more on the line than just the casual room.

  4. Some of my absolute all-time favourite cards are Radiate and Warp World, so I would be all over a cost-limited classic tournament. My biggest issue with classic, and MtGO in general, is the extent to which people can buy wins.

  7. I’m totally diggin this idea. As a budget player myself and always lookin to make decks with that in mind i’d love to see what other players come up with as well.

    Also Wed is a fairly dead PRE night so could fit there, or Even Saturday easy enough. As not many people show up for the Classic tribal on saturday as it is.

    There is a 2HG STD on Saturdays at 3p PST, I don’t know about other PREs.

    It’s going to be hard for me to resist playing burn, but I don’t want to bore myself either. I think I’ll try getting Counterbalance + Top + Polymorph to work.

  11. Also consider(while I am a fan of Wednesday)… downtimes sometimes run late, so I would suggest no earlier than 6:30 for a start time (est)

  12. SPG what is it that you need to know specifically about PRE’s? I’ve ran a few. The single biggest tip i can give you is be consistent with what ever you choose no matter the subject be it from start time/day to allowing late players or not..ect..

  13. I like this idea and this site, just discovered it today. My question is who will be determining how much cards are worth since they are always going up and down and some people value them more than others.
