  1. I’d like to point out that I wasn’t able to upload the deck tech for Hive Mind. I will try to get an upload in so that it can be added to the article. My sincerest apologies.

  2. Might want to practice your Hive Mind mirror a little.

For instance, in Rd1 you counter his pact with a REB leaving you tapped out if he has another counter. Instead, you could just let it resolve, he will have to tap out on upkeep, and you can just try to resolve the spell the next turn. It leaves you vulnerable to him drawing red mana source, but you can also draw a different pact.

  3. thx i always look forward to this article series.

too bad it was two mirrormatches and two byes, still a very good watch!

what are your thoughts on the flusterstorm your opponent included in his hive mind?

  4. RUNES! Mother of RUNES! AHHHH!!

I like your content though. I’ll never be able to afford a legacy deck so I like watching videos like these. Keep it up!

  5. Hey All
Sorry it took so long to respond. I just got back from my trip.

@ BT: The mirror was a match up that I really struggled with when testing this deck. There were times where I could just beat them right out, but most of the time it was a real struggle to get a win. A lot of Hive Mind players have been adding Platinum Angel in the sideboard for the mirror which helps out a great deal vs Hive Mind, but not so much vs Emrakul.

@ milegyenanevem: While I agree the hand did seem pretty good I was going to rely on drawing a land off of that Ponder otherwise I would more than likely lose the game. Also the hand wasn’t a hand that I felt comfortable with against the mirror since Hive Mind has no problem going off on turn 2 or 3. I’m not saying the hand wasn’t good and in hindsight I should of kept the hand since I ended up mulligan into an even worse hand.

@ Martin: Thanks for the comments I’m glad you enjoyed the article. I actually wanted to get a set of Flusterstorms before I played the deck, but with the Commander decks coming out just before I filmed these videos I didn’t pick them up due to their price. Flusterstorm is great vs the Hive Mind mirror and against Counter battles since it protects you and allows you to counter your own Pacts so you don’t have to pay the upkeep costs. I would definitely recommend picking up a playset of Flusterstorm.

@ homersexual: Thank you I’m glad you enjoy watching the Legacy videos, but never say never. I remember when I first got into MTGO I never thought I would be able to afford to play EXT, but over time I finally built up an EXT collection and eventually was able to transfer over to Classic/Legacy. It took many years to build my collection, but it was definitely worth the wait. If there’s a format you want to play work your way into it, and if you keep at it you will eventually be able to play in that format.

Thank you everyone for your comments and voting. I am already working on the Cephalid Breakfast deck, and hope you bring you some wins in a Legacy Daily Event in my next article.
