St Paddy’s Day is the standard abbreviation used – Patrick in Irish is Padraig, which appears to be where the Irish abbreviation of Patrick comes from.
Use of St Patty makes a lot of Irish people rather angry. Which I suppose is fair game since really you are kinda calling their Patron Saint Patricia… and that’s rather harsh.
