There was a pretty sweet auras deck going around. Too bad the LRR folks didn’t do this draft, I’m sure they’d have gone for the double Ajani’s Chosen plus Blightcaster! Also, Blood Bairn + Ajani’s Chosen seems totally broken.
Disclaimer: By sweet I mean probably not good.
thx for the vids, great draft, good deck, nice play.
got a rule question because i didnt played sengir alot. cant you, for example, block a 4/4 baloth with the sengir, wait for end of combat when dmg is asigned, doomblade it, sengir got its counter and survives? or do i foolishly dont see the obvious here?
@gomorrha: Once damage is assigned, they both die.
Do not play on the beta, it should be boycotted due to its awfulness. this just shows that you have been bought by wizards.
@gomorrha: With the old rule, when damage used to stack. This would be possible!
But now damage don’t stack anymore, so both would die!
Pretty sweet deck! That whale did a lot of work!
Are you sure it would work with the old rules? Sengire Vampire needs to deal damage to the creature. If there is no creature there can be no damage on it, even if the damage is on the stack.
r2g2: i would’ve targeted the hauler and spider with hunt the weak. i feel like you should’ve ebbed the baloth rather than the spider. also would’ve considered swinging in with hauler when opp was repping flare.
So much value could have been had by sacking Jace’s Mindseeker to Celestial Flare instead of Water Servant…
via Corpse Hauler, I mean
It was really disappointing that didn’t take the Ajani’s Chosen, and when pack two rolled around, with the 2nd Anjani I had to stop watching. Seen what U/B does, every single m14 draft ever.
@kezzerdrix, is someone paying you to troll these videos? I don’t get it.
Your opponents sure were eager to scoop in these matches. That’s a nice kind of value to get.
OK let me spell it out for you
THE BETA FUCKING SUCKS
kezzerdrix is probably someone who blames all his losses on the shuffler too LOL
First the B/W Auras deck had very few good auras to use, yes double Ajani’s Chosen and a Blightcaster would be good but then Dark Favor? Marshall has explained why he is using the beta several times because that is where MTGO is headed and he wants to get used to it.
The Beta client WILL be the final client, so moaning, crying and getting angry about it will not change anything. It seems to be running much better now and works quite well in limited. kezzerdrix seems like an obsessed fan, stalking Marshall in all his posts
@kezzerdrix What’s this “bought by Wizards” crap? Beta works mostly fine and has great features. Also, it needs to be tested to be made workable.
Thanks for the draft. I agree with Brendan, though. Everyone just seemed to fold prematurely, and the opposition in general wasnt amazing.
Deathgaze Cockatrice: the black Doom Blade.
Guys, if you really want Kezzerdrix / trolls in general to stop posting or go away, this is how you handle it:

round 2 game 2 why not time ebb the 4/4 take the recluse, making him spend more mana to replay the fatty and with the whale your going to want to take the recluse at some point, that way he spends more mana next turn, given no wanter waht you do he will be able to offer the whale trade
Yeah, match 2 was a headscratcher, but there was some seriously lost value with that Mindseeker. Including what everyone else said, the final “whoops” I saw was Corpse-Hauling back the Whale and the end of r2g2 instead of the Mindseeker. You had the flyer advantage and knew that his next draw was a lethal pump. Mindseeker, steal the pump (or any other pumps you hit) and put it on the 2/2. Repping 5 damage from two flying sources with only one blocker for the opp? Regardless, it worked out in the end.
round 2 game 3
You are at 5 and he gets 1 through with the elf and 1 through with trample on the Horde and he has giant growth in hand yet he scoops?
actually he was at 6 so his opponent was 1damage short.
