Oh Marshall, you crack me up so much
When the MTGO Beta client crashes like that, where the event window closes but the rest of the program continues to run, sometimes you can recover without the full restart by finding your event in the play lobby and clicking details.
do not play on the beta. it shouöld be boycotted due to its awfulness.
R2G1:
I think you should have not cast Chandra’s Outrage on Elite Arcanist. I think it would be better just to use your Act of Treason (which did currently nothing) and Despersing the Arcanist with its own ability. (If he has another spell that he imprints, you can Outrage him then, and he looses that spell, too – sure it can get risky if you use your Outrage in the meantime). Also it seems strange that you wanted too draw a creature if you have a equipment that becomes a creature if you have no other.
when your opponent time ebbs your creature enchanted with mark of the vampire, it’s a 2-for-1.
I was thinking of the same play as Christian, seemed a good option to me
@Nezumi, that’s not a 2-for-1, if he had killed the enchanted creature then it’s a 2-for-1. I would call this a bit more than 1-for-1 though, but not 2.
Thanx for the draft, I do think you got a little bit lucky, but you played your deck to the outs it had and it payed off. Congratz!
When I see you play the Beta, I immediately quit the video.
Yes, I hate the beta as well and the videos look awful
Time Ebb on an enchanted creature is a 2 for 1.He loses Time Ebb and you loose the enchantment and a draw step.
i like pizza and i hope you do too
Great job – you took a so-so deck to the finals. Man that last deck was annoying play against.
fyi – GREAT job on Worlds last week. I was so psyched to turn it on and hear you and LSV doing commentary on the draft portion. You are the 2 players I have learned the most from in terms of drafting so having both of you on at the same time pretty much caused a magicgasim.
Hey Marshall,
Thank you for all that you do. You are one of the most generous and kind streamers out there and I love learning from your drafts. I wanted to take a moment to let you know that I play with the Beta as well and experience the same crash during the draft, but I have discovered that if you click send and continue on the error message and then go back to the play lobby and click details on your event, it will take you right back into the draft and you won’t miss a couple of prime picks waiting for the relog. Hope this helps, thanks again for all the great material!
Contrary to the above comments, I think the beta client looks a lot better on the videos. I’m glad you’re giving it a try.
love the beta. and as people have said you dont normally need to reboot – just choose your event havent had nearly as many issues as poor marshall has though – i crash maybe once every 5 or 6 drafts?
I would say time ebb on an enchanted creature is a two-for-one…the enchantment plus a missed draw step means he’s down two cards more than he would be, otherwise.
Love the draft videos, and I think you drafting on the Beta looks great. One little thing – if you double click a card in your deck, it sends it to your sideboard, and vice-versa. You don’t need to click and drag each individual card.
Keep up the amazing videos.
