Ugh. You decide to draft Kiln Fiend and pass Distortion Strike for Raid Bombardment? I’m all for trying out funny draft archetypes, but why this pick???
Ummm don’t know if this is just me but the round 3 vid is pyxis of pandemonium drafts round 3.
@condor No it’s not just you, I just got up to #3 and I was like Pyxis? Huh?
Seems like the 3 video isent up
Echoing the first comment. Raid Bombardment over Distortion Strike, and then not even a nod to Goblin Tunneler.
Round 3 video is coming up now.
uhhm wrong round 3?

Well Game 1 of Round 3 was definitely worth the wait! The wand got there!
The summary told me that Rosebud is a sled.
Fun times, as always! Bit of a nitpick, though. Not sure who is responsible for the blurbs that accompany the video links on the front page, but going into watching a new draft, knowing basically how it goes (“combo only works once, sorta…see how not to draft” or past examples such as “round two has the most action” and “catch the last round to see X combo go off”) takes some of the fun/excitement out of it for me. I am assuming it’s the work of someone at MTGOAcademy because the same thing happens with the Limited Resources drafts as well. Not a reason to stop watching, but a little annoying
Holy fudge, you guys really got to plan these things out and be more awesome. Seriously, guy . . . just be more awesome. Less punts.
You should definitely have Cam in on more of these drafts; he made the horribleness of the first two rounds bearable, and it was great to see him so into it in his dry Cammy way.
@Copisetik — Thanks for the comment. I write the Limited Resources blurbs but let LRR write their own blurbs. I’ll take this into consideration when writing LR blurbs for the future and will make sure that the LRR-submitted blurbs don’t give anything away from here on out.
I would also like to second the comment about blurbs.
However, I do not mind as much when it is “Stick around until round 3″. As it was for LRR draft Count Em, because round three ended up being almost an hour long and it went down to a few seconds in the clock.
You could say “Stick around until round 3″ is giving away things, but if that hadn’t been there, I would’ve went into a 50+ minute video with a negative outlook or might not even have watched it.
Watching you guys pass multiple Distortion Strikes with a Kiln Fiend deck was just painful. With Kiln Field that basically says U: Deal 10 damage to target opponent. It also has rebound which is a great thing to combo with your Wand. Taking Battle Rampart over it was… not good.
[SPOILERS]
… In turn round 2 they could have traitorous instinct the Kiln fiend and gotten at least 12 damage in, if they emptied their sorceries/instants.
For those of you complaining about spoilers in the blurb, you really should have watched round 3 first. =P
You should force Green/Red for Christmas.
@10:50 “(sadly) Ooooh, it’s our win con.”
