Just an FYI, but “Assemble the Ramp, Standard, by xMiMx” might not be the best the best thing to name your Modern Zoo deck.
Whoops. My bad, Jeremy. Thanks for the note.
When you open this URL, you see “Round 2 video” right below “Round 1 video”. So we know beforehand that you won round one, even before watching.
I would have preferred not to know that you won, because it would have been much more suspenseful! When you mulliganned to five in game 3, we still know you’re going to win… know what I mean?
Maybe hide it somehow? The fact that you got through to round 2. When we open the web page, I mean. Just an idea.
Keep up the good work.
Daily events are not single elimination, so the fact that he played in Round 2 doesn’t actually spoil anything.
@maxiewawa: The editors of the site actually go to great lengths not to spoil results. Even if a contributor loses in the first round of an 8-4 they post the round 2 and 3 logos and it’s only when you try to click them can you tell the difference.
Good vids, the list seems pretty solid. I guess if eggs isn’t as common on MTGO due to time/clicking issues the deck is extremely well positioned.
Your excessive tilting over the wrath of god in m4g1 (watch the video, you went on and on about it) wasn’t really warranted. Those sort of lists can support maindeck wraths because so many of their creatures are giving them extra value anyway (hawks, ranger, martyr) that wrathing them doesn’t matter. There’s also heaps of graveyard recursion, so you can win the card advantage war vs fair decks a lot of the time. I’m not sure if he boarded them out game 2, but there were some points there where a wrath would have left you topdecking while he had a pretty fully grip. wrath mightn’t be totally orthodox there, but it doesn’t seem actively bad or anything.
