  1. As Chris said seems good in UW, specifically a tap out control style deck also in a GW mid-range deck looking for some removal/way to get around blockers.

  2. This guy has three abilities you can actually use. I think that’s worth the price of not having an ultimate ability.

  3. Yeah – this guy looks amazing. Between him and Colonnade UW sure can pack a lot of Wrath proof punch. Flavor wise all of his abilities *seem* like they should work well together, but given the once a turn limitations this guy probably is probably “only” a Wrath Proof 187 man.

  4. So with this guy and Elspeth (and to a lesser extent Baneslayer), is U/W now just ridiculous in standard?

  5. I have a question.

When you activate his second ability and he becomes a 6/6 Human Soldier Creature and it says that it’s still a planeswalker, would that mean you can use Jace’s ability to bounce him back to your hand because he is a creature too or no?
Because if not, that would mean there is no way to kill Gideon because everytime it gets attacked you can attacked his 0 cost ability and never receive damage.

  6. ****Because if not, that would mean there is no way to kill Gideon Jura because every time it gets attacked you can *use his 0 cost ability and never receive damage.Except by using destroy target creature effects.

  7. “When you activate his second ability and he becomes a 6/6 Human Soldier Creature and it says that it’s still a planeswalker, would that mean you can use Jace’s ability to bounce him back to your hand because he is a creature too or no?”

Well except you can activate planeswalker abilities only as a sorcery – so jace’s ability and gideon’s ability would never meet each other.
