Theros Previews Underway, Prerelease Events Begin October 4
The Magic Online Theros release is rapidly approaching. The dates you'll want to mark on your calendar are:
New Account Signup Process Improvements
We are launching a new Magic Online introduction page, updating our account creation process, and revising our download page during tomorrow's downtime. These changes provide a better overall experience for our new players.
In addition, we are launching a Wide Beta help page, which will host tutorial videos to help players become more familiar with the Magic Online Wide Beta. The page will have two videos at first, but more will be added over the coming weeks.
Magic Online Cube Returns September 25
The Magic Online Cube returns Wednesday, September 25, following the downtime. This Cube changes things up a bit. Besides introducing new cards as we usually do--this time we've swapped in eight new cards--we've also boosted the prizes for both Cube formats and changed the entry options.

The following products will no longer be available after the downtime on September 11, 2013:
Event Coverage Decklist Updates
You can find the winning decklists from Magic Online events featured on mtgonline.com in the right column of the page under "Event Coverage."
Updates to these decklists will move from 8:30 AM PT to 10:00 AM PT daily going forward.
Downtime Notes for September 11, 2013
The system will go into "No Pay" at 5:00 AM.
Store and trades will shut off at approximately 7:45 AM.
The system is expected to be down from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, noon PDT.
Release Notes
There is a client build this week as we launch our new introduction page, download page, and account creation process. Changes to tax rate schedules for select areas have also been updated.
Wide Beta Release Update
There are no changes to the current client.
