I’m glad you noticed that Bloodghast couldn’t block before you passed up a combat step.
The way I’ve always looked at Bloodghast is that it’s not really a card (in terms of card-advantage) It doesn’t block, and it doesn’t die, so it’s really not something to be concerned with at all, unless killing it is collateral damage (i.e, infest and it’s ilk)
Really like the take on Jund, though. It’s nice to see a deck that isn’t completely metagamed.
It would be interesting to have a sort of “testing” video for extended. We could play each other, then post both our videos of the same game, but on opposite sides. Do you guys like this idea? It’d be a good hands on match approach.
Posted this deck months ago on mtgnews. I only switched out Putrid Leech and Garruk Wildspeaker for Nissa Revane and Nissas Chosens
When he had double Vampire Nocturnus out there wasn’t really anything you could do besides swinging with 2 (that leaves you open to removal though).
The “safe” play is swing for 1, the “lose to removal play” is swing for 2, the “Hope he doesn’t know sign in blood can target me” is swing for 3, and swinging with 4 is one heck of a bluff ;).
I would love to see both sides of a test session as it really fleshes out the matchup well. That would be great to see.
