  1. It turns out that I was playing the deck that eventually won Worlds! Oddly enough, I’m not that fond of the deck anymore. It definitely needs 1 more green source, and it seems like the deck is geared a tad too much toward aggro decks. That fact ended up favoring Junya Iyanaga in the top8 but will prove poor in Mana Leak and Dissipate matchups.

In any case, the format is going to be changing in coming days and the optimal build of this deck with it.

  2. NO INFERNO TITAN? Are you crazy? That thing won him worlds! Sure it’s tuned to beat Aggro, and Inferno Titans played a major role in that. But they are SO good right now. Well, that might change, because everyone is going to play that deck now, but still…

  3. Big fan of your work, sir.

    Hate this deck though.

I would like to see some vids of the UW Cuneo Worlds list; possibly with meta game updates.

    Thanks, Mr. Hetrick.

  4. Enjoyed the vids as always. I learn a ton listening to you talk through your decision trees. Interested in seeing which deck you decide to run in block, keep em coming!

  5. you punted by not swinging with wolf that one game. He ended at 4, which the 2 from wolf and the 2 from your untapped inkmoth and sphere could have dealt. Playing around hero there was awkward.

  6. Against the 3/3 Geist of St. Traft – on the turn you animated nexus to block the 5/5 flyer that geist pumps out, couldn’t you, in response to combat phase, have animated your nexus with its own mana, giving you metalcraft, and then Galv blasted the Geist using the sphere mana, killing it? That seems better than chumping with the nexus.
