Two Jesses Jesse K (IAnonymous on MTGO) is a Bay Area, California wizard who's been playing and complaining about Magic: the Gathering since 1995. The Vendilion Clique is indeed three specific characters: Veesa, Endry and Iliona (“Vendilion” is simply a portmanteau of their names, not some obscure adjective that WotC pulled out of their bottomless thesaurus). I agree that this doesn’t come out enough in the card but I’m not sure the solution would be to make a modal effect; in the story they often operate as a single unit and it feels too formulaic to me to have “this card is three characters therefore it has one effect for each character” all the time.
Bravo… I’ll now be more careful when targeting Peter Lorre.
