Round one when your opponent doubled blocked with the Devil, just don’t assign any damage to the devil and you don’t have the problem of having to waste your Silverstrike on your own creature – as a bonus you can play your Emmissary post combat and get the token since something died.
I think you missed out a on a potentially really sweet u/r spells deck. Thing in the ice is a legitimate bomb there, and you could have first picked that and hoped to wheel pyre hound. You also saw p4 rise from the tides, which is a huge signal. You also saw very late stitched mangler and race’s scrutiny which are both great. In your defense it was earlier in the format when this was recorded and the power of that deck was probably less known, but it seems like it would have been a sweet deck. Regardless, thanks for the draft, they’re always entertaining!
